The Deniz Tek show was a full house and the Tomb of The Unknowns did a high-energy set capped off with the MC5 cover "Black to Comm".

The Paybacks, led by Wendy Case, sounded really great delivering Detroit pop punk to full house of old and young rock 'n' rollers.

By the time Powertrane hit the stage with Deniz Tek the crowd was rockin' and sweatin' in the Pigpen. They hit the stage playing a group of Radio Birdman songs followed by Hydromatics tunes and then a bracket of Sonics Rendezvous. The evening was capped with one of the most dynamic guitar trios playing City Slang (Gillespie, Morgan & Tek), all playing solos in tandem...

After leaving the stage they reappeared with the legendary Stooges guitarist Ron Asheton to play a bracket of Stooges tunes starting with "TV Eye", with Hiawatha joining the stage to sing "Down On The Street", and winding up with "I Wanna Be Your Dog" and "1969". When they jumped into "I Wanna Be Your Dog", the kids up front couldn't control themselves and had quite a rowdy mosh pit going. By the time they finished with "New Race", the local players in the crowd had crawled up on stage to sing - until they were restrained by Hiawatha.

A 19-song set!!! What a night of legendary Detroit/Ann Arbor rock 'n' roll...
