NINE POUND HAMMER (Acetate Records)
Well I ain't never been to Kentucky, but I visulaise it sounding just like this record. I figure if I was riding a hog through Kentucky and two cowboys in a pick up shot me, they would have this on the eight-track cartridge.

These guys have been around the block - this is their first album since 1994, Blaine Cartwright being at the centre of Nashville Pussy - and I really like old fucker bands lately. In fact, I hate kids bands.

I remember "Hayseed Timebomb", and the killer double live album recorded in Sweden on tour, live at the Vera. Nine Pund Hammer were pushing a truck on the cover - a Europe tour icon !

These guys sound like a bunch of Southern rock 'n' rollers beating up Clint Eastwood, then getting drunk and heading to the whorehouse, then off to a gig !! It's really good time music;, this is a great record to drink and drive to. What the hell, get a blow job in the truck as well !!

Southern rock 'n' roll punk played by real two-fisted, drinking, pig-fucking head-punchin' pussy-eatin' Southerners. Authentic American music. - Ashley Thomson
